Skillset Overview Technical Abilities - 92 / 100 Rotational Energy - Great use of the rotational energy hits the shoulders and the rear shoulder hits the axis, the energy is shifted into the arm, and the reaction triggers activation into the ball. when throwing + hitting. Soft Hands - Great use of soft hands and is able to catch the ball cleanly without bobbling or dropping it. Ability to absorb the impact of the ball without it bouncing out of the glove. Tactical Abilities - 89 / 100 Ball Reading Ability - Great job at reading the trajectory and speed of the ball as it is hit can get into position to make the play more effectively. This requires good anticipation skills and quick reactions. Fielding - Quickly react to balls hit back to them and make accurate throws to first base or other fielders. Physical Abilities - 89 / 100 Endurance - Great work rate throughout camp. Showed endurance that helped effectiveness, especially late. Balance - Showed a great deal of balance on the field and in the box. Great balance is able to generate more power and control, as well as reduce their risk of injury. Mental Abilities - 92 / 100 Passion - Brings energy to every session that was contagious. Great approach to the game! Coachability - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Coach's Comments Brody has a great passion for the game. It was evident from the beginning that he really cares about the game and getting better. He is fundamentally sound throughout his game. He was very coachable and has a lot of room to grow under the right coaches. Work on arm strength. - Try to get on a throwing program and be consistent with your throwing to build strength. Continue to hit the weight room. - Strength, speed, and agility will set you apart from others in a good way or bad way. Continue to work on these so it sets you apart in a good way. Continue working on driving the ball. - You have really good hands at the plate. Trust your hands and work hard on getting your lower half going before the upper have to create as much separation and torque as possible.
