Austin (Ozzy) Anderson '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Anderson but everybody calls me Ozzy.  Although the right opportunity didn't present itself to me right out of high school, I still want to pursue my dream of playing intercollegiate baseball.  I am presently playing for the University of Wyoming Club team.  I have played competitive baseball since I was 9.  Because Wyoming doesn't have baseball as a high school sport, I mostly played with traveling club teams and I look forward to playing at the college level.  I am a natural leader and have a strong work ethic. Shortstop has always been my favorite and best position, but I have also played a lot of outfield, second and third base, and done quite a bit of pitching.  A good education is important to me and I work hard to maintain high grades. Outside of baseball I enjoy playing basketball, snowmobiling, going to the sand dunes, hunting, going to the lake, and traveling with my family. I'm excited to see where my talents can take me and am looking forward to the college baseball experience.
