Throughout my life, I have been an active student both in and out of school. From what I can remember, I've always been in sports or activities. When I first started cheer, I was a sophomore in high school and a retired gymnast. I had a good background in tumbling but not as strong of a background in all of the other aspects of cheer. As I grew and practiced, I learned to love this sport that brought me into a family that I trusted and had fun with. In cheer, I've learned to get over my fears and take risks to try and improve personally. My goal in general for cheer is to improve as much as I can. For me, I feel like with cheer, it is something that you can keep improving on. This year, as a senior, I've had more of an opportunity to step up and encourage those around me. Being able to set an example for my teammates and try to give 100% effort through the sweat, blood, and tears makes me hopeful that they will see that they can go as far as they are willing to push themselves and I hope to be there walking with them.
