Hello, my name is Caroline Hart and I attend Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana. I started cheering 5 years ago when I discovered how much I love to throw myself backwards. One day I thought it would be fun to try back handsprings in my yard, and after my first tumbling class I was hooked. Previously, I was playing several other sports including travel basketball and travel softball. I love all sports and competitions! But, nothing compares to my love of cheer. I also found my strengths in track and field. I run the sprints, specifically the 200 and 100. Last year during my track Big 11, (meet that is against 11 schools) I got 1st in the 200 and 2nd in the 100. This also led to me doing the 4x1 relay, and getting 1st again. With balancing my sports and academics, I am able to go to my cheer gym around 10 hours a week, and still get my class work done. I have always had that fire in me to succeed in everything. I will always push myself, no matter what obstacles are in my way. 4 out of my 5 years cheering, I have received the practice like a champion award. This award goes to the most outstanding athletes that work their hardest. I have been told by many coaches that I am extremely coachable, and respect everyone around me. I believe that I will be a good team member on college cheer teams because I am a well rounded athlete who cares about her career and making it to the top.
