In becoming a collegiate athlete I am excited to take my love and passion for cheerleading to the next level. I have been an all star cheerleader since I was six years old, and a varsity cheerleader for the past two years. I have developed very strong leadership skills, teamwork skills, and I have developed the skills to perform under pressure. The success for the team as a whole is very important to me, seeing everyone improving and encouraging each other is very empowering.
In academics, I understand the importance of time management and prioritization, as well as balancing my commitments with studies and cheerleading, while maintaining above a 3.0 GPA. My desire to continue growing and learning within the sport I am always seeking new opportunities to gain knowledge and skills, attending workshops and clinics, as well as additional training outside of team practices.
In my personal life I enjoy coaching younger athletes to help develop their skills, being able to impact kids lives has grown my love for cheerleading. Working part time has also thought me responsibilities of hard work and time management.
In conclusion, cheerleading has paved a path for success, for not only athletics, but in life. It has shown me the value of hard work, discipline, teamwork and perseverance. I consistently push myself to achieve new goals and continuously work to surpass them. I'm excited to bring my talents to a college program.
