Hi! My name is Alysse. I am currently 16 years old and a sophomore at Caledonia High School in Michigan. I started cheer in fifth grade and fell head-over-heels in love with it. I am a dedicated athlete and will do whatever you ask of me. Even after a long practice, you will usually find me working out, conditioning, stretching and tumbling at home. I try my best to be friendly to every single girl on the team and bring positivity and encouragement to the mat. It has been my goal since I started at age 10 to be a collegiate athlete.
I am primarily a backspot, but have based before and trained multiple bases, so I should be able to step in if you need a base. I am not the strongest tumbler, but I take private lessons to work on improving my skills. My strongest skill is a standing back handspring on a dead mat (working on a tuck)
At school, I am a straight-A student. I take pride in my schoolwork and maintain a 4.0 GPA.
This past November (2023), I had a major injury. I broke a few bones in my hand while doing a back handspring tumbling pass. But I didn’t let it discourage me. I continued to go to practice and work out regularly. Now, (June 2024) I am starting to get back into tumbling. I hope to be back full-force by the time fall comes around.
Thank you for taking the time to check me out and I hope you will consider me for your competitive, sideline, or stunt team :)
