I am that cheerleader who always promotes positivity and encouragement to the Squad,, players, those watching in the stands and to myself. I push myself continuously to improve my skills to be a better cheerleader besides a better person. You will always see a smile on my face no matter what is going on around me. My aspirations is to obtain a college education that will help me in my future career path in the Performing Arts and be able to continue what I enjoy in being a cheerleader through college and if the opportunity comes to be a cheerleader for a professional sport (NFL or NBA).
My tumbling journey was not always the easiest, I started off with gymnastics in which did not push me to be the best I could be and once I started sideline cheer I knew I needed to make a change and be better in just the aspect of tumbling. They started off telling me that my back walkover could not be with my left foot out so I needed too change to my right if I wanted to have any luck in competitive, I went home and practiced on my trampoline and was determined to get it, in which I finally did compared too years of gymnastics. Once I was done with that, it was time for me to move up a level just like most things in life; a back handspring. I've had a lot of growth due to the fact I first did it with a boulder and the muscle growth was needed to have it on the floor, lets not forget the double jumping instead of sitting back. I managed to get that to sit back, do those handstand snap downs, and be more confident. That was just the beginning though, once they seen me do my spring, I had to move up to that tuck in which was not as hard since I always did them as a kid with no teaching, just curiosity. But that was nothing compared to having to stand, jump, pull up and tuck making sure your legs aren't to high or low. Adding the technique and just one jump up for all tumbling skills was the thing I knew was going to get me to succeed. Removing those bad habits was my confidence.
