Hello coaches! I am a coed base and double as a backspot for skills involving stunt groups. I started my cheer journey in 2022-23 season, competing in UCA nationals on my first year. I am always eager to learn and try new skills. For my first year, my team placed 10th at UCA nationals for the finals, and instead of bringing me down it inspired me to work harder for the next season, as my team was a first time coed team and we managed to make it and place at finals. During the offseason, I like to lift and attend other college clinics in order to advance my skill set even more. I have attended several clinics from teams such as Hofstra University, the 10 time small coed D1 champions. As well as being a cheerleader, I am a track and field athlete, also having a background in soccer for 7 years, which contributes to my athleticism. I lift year round and especially in the summer in order to improve my strength for the fall season and ultimately the winter, which is when we compete at nationals. I pride myself in being resilient and having good composure, which leads me to look as tough losses as opportunities to improve using judges notes rather than just a loss. I understand the risks of cheerleading, as it is a semi dangerous sport without proper precautions in place, and won't let injuries deter me, as I am still dealing with season injuries 3 months after it ended. As well as competing on the mat, I am able to compete in the classroom, graduating in the class of 2024 I currently have a 97.4 GPA, converting to a 4.0 on the scale, and being one of the top 10 students in my graduating class. I am always looking to improve my skills and as a pioneer for my school, I inspired two other males to join the teams. I hope to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically nursing. The skills that I continue to learn from cheer as collaboration and extensive teamwork and trust will contribute to my career and help me after I graduate from college. I hope to continue to improve in the time I still have left before my senior year and collegiate level competition. One day I hope to be a name to remember in the collegiate scene!
