As a student and an athlete, I have always been motivated to succeed. I am dedicated to reaching my goal of getting into a good school to achieve my lifelong dream of earning a degree in architecture. I wish to carry my passion for cheer along with me.
I have been pursuing cheerleading since I was six years old. I started my journey by joining a cheer camp organized by a local high school. I loved it so much that I looked forward to returning every year. But I grew out of dancing around to Baby Shark for warm ups. I wanted to be a real cheerleader. That is when I joined Klamath County Youth Cheer (KCYC). My passion and athleticism blew up from there.
I also had the opportunity to cheer with the Oregon Duck Cheerleaders once every year, for three years. We had the privilege to perform a routine we learned earlier that day at halftime. This gave me a taste of what college cheer would feel like and I fell in love.
Besides the dedication to KCYC, I did not lose my dreams. Since I could say the word, I've been aspiring to be an architect. So much so, that I started looking at colleges in 6th grade. After many years of research and indecisiveness, I have settled on a few choices: Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), and the University of Oregon (OU).
Throughout the years, cheer has helped me through many tough situations in life. No matter how hard my day was, when I stepped on the mat, all my worries dissipated. I had the love and support from my teammates, and I knew I could talk to my coaches. I want to be an inspiration to little me, and to others; Whether it be through my cheerleading, academic, or personal success.
