Macy Layfield '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at SCHS. My pathway is Criminal Justice. I work hard for my grades as I am carrying mostly Honors classes supplemented with my pathway.  I have maintained on the honor roll all 3 years at SCHS.  I played as a swing player for softball my freshman year and this past year I ran track in the spring to further my endurance times.  I have been a 3 year Varsity starter on the SCHS team for field hockey.  At the end of my junior year I received 2nd team all-conference award.  That was a great accomplishment for me and my first HS conference award.  I could not have been more thrilled, knowing  I helped our team finish the season with our first 500 record.  My most rewarding score was in Richmond VA at SS in 2019, when I dove and reversed chipped a goal. I have countless hours of community service in the concession stands with the local little league, as a wrestling manager for middle school and helping my brothers with pop warner as the water girl and offering encouraging comments! I am also a Bronze level recipient for Girl Scouts completing a total of 8 years of service.  I would love to part of a field hockey team at the collegiate level.
