Hi, my name is Chloe Bender. I am currently in Year 10 at St John Fisher College, a school in Brisbane North, Queensland, Australia.
I have played and loved hockey since I was 6 years of age. My primary position is a defender but I have played in all positions on the field, wherever my team needs me.
I play for Redcliffe Hockey club in the Brisbane Women's Hockey Association. I compete at junior level as well as playing senior Women's hockey in the Division 2 and Division 1 Brisbane Hockey League. I was recently part of the Redcliffe Hockey Division 1 team who were successful in winning the BWHA premiership. I am the youngest player in the squad.
Over the years I have had success in the junior representative programs representing Brisbane and Queensland. In 2024 I represented Queensland at the National Under 15 Schoolgirls Hockey Championships. My Queensland team won the national championships. I was then selected in the All Australian Under 15 team. In 2024 I was also selected for the Queensland Gold Under 16 team to complete at the Under 16 National Championships as an underage player.
I am an unselfish player who is always trying to get the best results for my team through hard work, teamwork and being a positive influence on the team. My hard work on and off the field has helped me achieve the results I have to date and I aim to continue working hard to improve my hockey.
My goal is to play on a college team, giving my all to help the team reach its full potential. Off the field, I’m excited about the chance to experience and participate in all aspects of college life in the U.S., while also dedicating myself to studies that will ultimately prepare me for a career in the Allied Health industry.
