Abbie Derosier '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches! My name is Abbie Derosier and I am a junior at Brewer High School. I love learning and have always been an honor roll student. I started playing field hockey my 6th grade year as a goaltender and absolutely fell in love with it. Being a goalie is my passion and I hope to be playing it for a long time. My current club team is Maine Rapids u19 and I have been playing on it since the 2022 winter season. Field hockey has driven me not just athletically but also academically, and makes me want to be a better person for my team and coaches. I believe that being a goalie takes a special type of mental and physical strength that I have been able to incorporate into my everyday life. Field hockey has also pushed me to become a quick thinker and understand what I need to do in stressful situations. I am a hard and determined worker but will always make time for my teammates and family when they need me. I love watching people succeed and push them to be better on and off the field. I am a good team player by always being supportive even if I’m not feeling the best myself. I am determined in every way I can be and cannot wait to see through my goals and where this wonderful sport takes me.
