Joie Cody '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joie Cody.  I live in Gloucester, MA with my mom, dad, younger brother, and two dogs.  I have an older brother who attended Salve Regina University and graduated. I attend Gloucester High School where I am a member of the class of 2024.  I play center back on my school's Field Hockey team. I also play in a summer league as well as a winter league. In the winter I am also a member of my school's basketball team.  Some hobbies that I enjoy are field hockey,  basketball, traveling,  going on family walks, and going to the beach.  

I began my journey playing Field Hockey in sixth grade at O'Maley innovation middle school. I am now a Sophmore and am playing on my high school's varsity field hockey team. I am known as the aggressive player on my team who will do anything to save the ball from getting to the net. My coach told me that I am the most physically and mentally tuff player she has ever coached. My goal is to continue to pursue my passion for field hockey and play at the next level in College.  I am a great teammate, dedicated, hardworking, aggressive, and willing to work hard to achieve my goal.
