I'm Libby Baxter, and I'm a freshman at Hingham Highschool. When I first started playing field hockey, three years ago in sixth grade, I absolutely hated it. My mother, who was a previous field hockey player, forced me to continue pursuing it. I am really happy my mom did forced me to continue playing because as time went on, I grew to become obsessed with the sport. Even if I'm not always going to be the most talented or skilled on the field, I can assure you I am always going to be the hardest worker. Not only do I push myself on the field in every game and practice, but I push myself in the classroom as well. I strive for greatness and results, but I also strive to have respect and unity among my teammates, teachers, peers, and coaches.
The thought of being able to compete at the collegiate level motivates me to work even harder. As I transition into high school I plan to maintain my focus on my studies as well as my performance on the field. I know that the recruiting journey is not easy, but I am willing to put in the work and make sacrifices to have this dream of my become a reality.
