In the past 5 years of me playing field hockey, I've definitely had my fair share of losses, but that number has never seemed to affect me. No matter what the score, I am always going to play to the best of my ability, because I've come to realize dwelling on a past goal will stop my team from having the confidence to score two more. I've always loved analyzing how a game is played, or how different teams and players have certain play-styles and how to best combat them. I want to play field hockey in college not just to continue playing the amazing sport or to just use it to get into a school I want to go to, but for the relationships I can form with future teammates that can last lifetimes. I know I don't have the best GPA, or take every AP course available, but I know my limits and what classes I can take to push me to learn as much as I can. I want to be able to have younger athletes or my family friend's younger children be able to look up to me and say "I want to play field hockey."; Field hockey doesn't even start in the town until 7th grade, and even then its a very small program because there just isn't much exposure, and I want to be that person to bring exposure to it.
