Ava Pontes '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Ava Pontes. One of my biggest field hockey accomplishments would be winning the Massachusetts D1 state championship my freshman year. I got the privilege to have many division one and skilled college athletes playing on my team with me. This allowed me to improve my overall skill and athletic abilities.

In my sophomore year, things started a little slow with the outbreak of the pandemic, but I take it as a learning experience playing 7v7. I think that the limited players on the field really taught me how to use my teammates and become a team player. My team and I went on to be the SCC champs of our conference. Every time I play I use it as an opportunity to get better and further advance my skill!
