I’ve always been an ice hockey player, but once I got to middle school and had the chance to try field hockey I took it. Little did I know that I would grow to love field hockey as much as I loved ice hockey.
I play three varsity sports, field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse, I also play ball hockey at an extremely high level making my speed and power incredible, and being an overall well-rounded athlete. I am also very coachable and am willing to change anything needed in a short time. My hockey IQ is great because of the different sports I've played and is growing each and every time I hit the turf, ice, or deck. I strive to enhance my strength and skills at any free time I can on and off turf. In addition I have great determination and I work towards different goals with passion. Last year, as a freshman, I had the opportunity to play in a final four MIAA state tournament game. It was an extremely close game but we ended up losing 2-1. From that game, I changed as an athlete, I’ve become more aware of what I’m capable of and have put in more work than I have before averaging around 2 or 3 goals per game this year. Academically, I thrive in putting hard efforts into all of the classes I take. While some may see sports as an obstacle to school work, I see it as a boost that pushes me to keep up my grades. As an elective I take ceramics which, like sports, takes a lot of patience and hard work, in order to complete a piece. I hope to continue my quality grades, determination, and work ethic to play field hockey at the college level.
