Hard work and practice pay off. That’s what I have found. I have played many sports at a high level and this holds true for all of them. Field hockey is by far one of my favorites. I want to continue to improve my game far beyond high school. I try to practice hard and play to win every game. My strengths are my vision, work ethic, speed, and skills. Knowing when to pass or when to hold onto the ball is pretty key in tight situations. This past Fall field hockey season, I was called on to switch from my usual wing mid position to a center defender. Our goalie had not played goal in a couple of years. I answered the call and our team ended up finishing the best it has finished in 12 years. We ended up finishing in the top 8. I had a blast learning a new position and learned a lot in the transition. I hope to continue playing field hockey and growing as a player throughout college. I think playing in college will be a great complement to my college career and help me to be a leader in life.
