My name is Scarlett Gray, and I’m currently a sophomore at Dover High School. My main position is goalkeeper, playing for Dover High School and Seacoast Field Hockey Club. I have played field hockey since the seventh grade, and lacrosse for 6 years. This year I was a starter on Varsity and I won the BrickWall award. I also ran for captain as I will be a junior next year and got the position. Our record was 13-2-1 and were runner-ups in the NHIAA Division 1 state championship. This year I saved 79 goals, 14 allowed. I have a weighted 3.57 out of 4.0 GPA and have been on the honor roll each semester. I would like to go to college and study Marine Biology. As an athlete and teammate I work hard and heavily encourage others to do the same. From my standpoint, I see field hockey as a sport that is played by a team and not individually. If my teammates seem down or in their head I will always assure them that things will be okay and give them a motivational push. Outside of field hockey and lacrosse, I enjoy rock climbing and snowboarding. Thank you for your consideration.
