Maddie Barich '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddie Barich, and I'm a 2027 goalkeeper. I play for Hollis Brookline High School and Summit Field Hockey Club. I started playing field hockey as a goalie in 5th grade and have been playing for 4 years at the club level. Before field hockey I tried a lot of other sports like soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and softball. However, when I first played field hockey, as a goalie, at a summer camp I fell in love and have been playing ever since. My Freshman year I was rostered full time on both JV and Varsity. I am a very analytical, coachable, and hardworking player. Outside of field hockey I love to play tennis, go mountain biking, read, and bake. My ultimate goal for college is to find both a competitive engineering program and field hockey program. So far this year and in years prior I have gotten all A's in school. I am open to all options and want to find the college that is the right fit for me. I'm looking forward to starting the winter indoor season on one of Summit's U16 national level teams.
