Serena Capsello '15 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with the sport in 7th grade and was elected captain for the modified team in 8th grade. I was then brought up to play on Varsity as a Freshman which helped to develop me as a field hockey player. My development was evident when I was selected for second team all-league and led the team in goals this past year. I am a team player and diverse in that I have the ability to play defense,forward, or midfield. I am motivated to improve myself on the field and off the field in the classroom as well. A school that takes athletics and academics in high regards is what I am searching for. I push myself to receive high grades in school because I am determined to pursue a career in the medical field.

My club team coached by James Hanley has helped me prepare for college play by giving me access to instruction from Syracuse University players and coaches which has rapidly elevated my game. I would like to bring my game to the next level by playing in college whether it be division 1,2,or 3.
