I am a 2026 GK from Iroquois High School. I do not play club field hockey because I play travel softball, however, I still play field hockey year-round because my school program plays in a winter league, attends tournaments, and holds open workouts in the summer. I have been the starting goalkeeper on varsity since sophomore year and I played in the State Championship game. I was also named co-captain for the upcoming season. I am looking to play both softball and field hockey in college. I consider myself to be an aggressive keeper, as I can beat attackers to a loose ball. One of my strongest traits is my mobility in net, especially diving. This past season, I really focused on communicating with my teammates because I had a young defense. I alerted them if they needed to mark someone, adjusted positioning, and organized corners. I think this is the most important task for a goalie, as we are the only ones who can see the whole field.
Outside of sports, I enjoy camping and spending time with family. I am a disciplined student. I've made the honor roll throughout middle school and my freshman and sophomore years. This year, I decided to challenge myself by taking AP Chemistry and AP Language and Composition. My favorite class this year is Human Anatomy and Physiology. I want to pursue a career in the medical field, so it has been exciting to take a deeper look into how our bodies function. I intend on majoring in biology with a premed track in college.
