Sofia Passalacqua '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! I'm Sofia Passalacqua and I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Fairport High School. I started playing field hockey in 7th grade for my middle school at the Modified sports level and played on that team for 2 years, as a 7th and 8th grader. In 9th and 10th grade, I played on my high school's Junior Varsity team and was a starter my sophomore year. Currently, I am on my high school's Varsity Field Hockey team and we had a great fall season! I also started playing club field hockey this year on the Empire United Aspire team and am very excited for our upcoming games and tournaments! Field hockey is such an important part of my life and playing the sport is always the best part of my day. It's something that I truly enjoy and love to participate in, which is one of the reasons why I want to continue my journey and play in college. With lots of practice and help from my amazing coaches throughout the years, I have not only become a more experienced field hockey player, but I have also learned what it means to be hard-working, dedicated, passionate, and a team player along with what it takes to compete at a collegiate level. Of course, academics are always my first priority, which is why when looking for a school my goal is to select the college that will help me to succeed and perform at my very best. My grades are a main focus of mine, and I always strive for academic excellence and being the best version of myself possible. This dedication and drive for excellence is something that I carry throughout everything I do, both in the classroom and on the field, which is why I am the perfect candidate for your team!
