I started playing Field Hockey when I was quite young, around 4-5 years old, when we still lived in Belgium. I immediately loved it; and over time I played more and more and my love for the sport only grew.
After we moved here for my Dad’s job, I decided I wanted to play field hockey at college. I committed to this goal and continued my training at Electric Surge.
My goals for college are simple; to get a degree in my chosen major while still being able to play field hockey and commit to a team. I love the idea of having a small community that you can surround yourself with and the support network that comes with that environment.
I feel that I am a strong team player because I always look for the next passing opportunity. My goal is team victory not personal success, and I think that this is visible in the way I play on the field and how I value a good passing opportunity over a goal scoring chance.
I work very hard and put in the work needed on and off the field. I have had a strength and conditioning coach working with me in our home gym and this has had a major impact on my movement and speed on the field.
I believe that I am a strong minded, passionate and dedicated student-athlete and I intend to continue in this vein, when I am in college.
Looking forward to our conversation.
