Molly Darcy '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, 

My name is Molly Darcy and I'm very excited to hopefully continue forward with my field hockey career in college. Field hockey has become a huge part of my life, and I am so lucky to have a fantastic bond with my teammates on and off the field. I have been playing field hockey since the beginning of summer in 6th grade. In the beginning, I never really knew what field hockey was or how to even play the sport, but once I picked up my first stick I knew that this sport was different. I cannot describe how important my teammates have been throughout these past couple of years, we have become a large family and we help support one another,  whether it's during games or outside of school.  I have tried my best to be a well-rounded student by maintaining a GPA of 3.77 and being a High Honor student since the beginning of 7th grade. I also participate in various acts of community volunteering. While on the field I try to be a good role model for my team and for the younger girls who look up to us. The strength and perseverance I contain to always try to be the best player shows whenever I have fast breakaways or faking out my opponent.
