Sofia Gillan '24 Recruiting Profile

I began playing field hockey in the 7th grade, although I played both competitive ice and roller hockey since I was 5, and instantly connected with the sport. I was pulled up to varsity my freshman year of high school and am currently a Starter. I am a positive player who brings enthusiasm to each practice, and I'm always there to support my teammates. I pick up skills quickly, and for the ones that I don't I can be found putting in the extra work to increase my technique. Every time I step on the field I give 110% because I understand the pressure that comes with competing, and the opportunity I've been given when I get playing time.
