Embarking on a journey into my high school athletic career, I took a chance and left my passion of 10 years, Field Hockey. In doing so, I found a deep love of Track and Field. Initially I had to take time to understand body mechanics, the sport itself and the opportunity to progress but halfway through my first indoor season, I knew this was the sport for me. I am passionate about athletics, the human body and how to work together as a team and also better yourself as an individual. It is my goal not only to propel myself into future opportunities but also to be and my team on and off the field. I work diligently and want to elevate others by leading by example. The opportunity run track has allowed me to be in my element, feel connected and learn that while change can be scary the end game is exciting and new. I have faced adversity and change when my youngest sibling was diagnosed as having autism spectrum disorder. Her diagnosis has allowed me to recognize the opportunity to understand that athletics are a gift and that not all people have the ability to do so. As a middle child, I am strong at conflict resolution and feel committed to support my team like family. I am excited to learn about opportunities to further my athletic career as well as my academic career as I move forward!
