Since the first moment the idea developed in my mind, there was no looking back. My goal is to play field hockey for the US college that best suits the educational path that I interested in. Despite my realization coming a little late compared to most, I have one motive that is keeping me going; If i give everything I have, do everything I can, train my hardest and take every opportunity that comes my way, failure is out of the question.
I have been an athlete for all my life playing club volleyball, house league soccer and basketball, participating in ladies golf and tennis tournaments and competitive swimming. Never once has a sport made me feel the way that field hockey does.
I am a health conscious person who conducts a healthy lifestyle balancing my academics, athletics, family and social life. I give 100% in everything I do and never once have I doubted that when I put my mind to something, I can accomplish it. I’m looking for a challenge. Alongside my business studies that I plan on pursuing post secondary school, I can’t imagine those four years without field hockey. I’m a team player and a leader and love to work with other people.
For the year of 2016, I plan of taking a gap year where I will improve my SAT scores, train my heart out and spend 3 months on a working internship in New Zealand. I have deferred an offer to the University of British Columbia that is a fall back plan.
I hope to attend a school that allows me to unleash my full potential both in the classroom and on the field. I want to learn from as many people as I can and try to inspire as many people as possible.
