Aiko Price '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Aiko Price.

 I am a part of Emmaus High School's Class of 2026 in Emmaus, PA. I began playing field hockey in third grade, as well as many other extracurriculars. At the time, I was continuously trying out new things. I decided to play competitively because of the strategic playing, the fast speed, the adrenaline rush, and the team comradery. In 5th grade, I began indoor field hockey and competed in the National Indoor Tournament. It was my first competitive experience as a goalkeeper and I loved it. I continued playing and trying to improve in every way possible. Learning new skills and ways to apply them were exciting and intense games gave me adrenaline to keep going. In 8th grade, I was voted captain and the best cheerleader. I decided that I wanted to become a reliable, trustworthy, and resilient goalie. I continue going to goalie clinics and often practice at home. Throughout my high school seasons, I adjust my playing style to fit what my team needs and work to broaden my range of skills. I look to increase my experience and knowledge so I can effectively push my team to be our best. I play for X-Calibur Field Hockey Club, as well as Firestyx, during the winter and off-season. 

I have a large drive to improve and love practicing. I love learning what shots I would face, the best way to save a shot, and the best way to direct my team. I can be extremely vocal in my play and help out my teammates in any way I know how. Even if practice could be difficult at times, I enjoy being pushed to improve and continue giving me pointers. 

In college, I hope to be an active contributor to a supportive team environment and a strong communicator. I want to be committed to high standards in both academics and athletics.
