Personal Statement

For a while now, I have known that I want to be a college athlete. I believe that if I work hard and keep up with my training I can make it to that point. I want to be a college athlete because of my love for the sport and how happy it makes me when I play. Before I moved up to high school, the senior goalkeeper had been leaving an amazing legacy on my school. She was committed D1 and brought her team to playoffs three of her four years. When she graduated and I moved up, it was my time to shine. Our team went 14-4, won the Ches-Mont American Division, went to round 2 of the playoffs, and showed other teams how our young team was a force to be reckoned with. Additionally, I am a member of a new club, Kennett Crush Field Hockey Club. We have had great success and went almost undefeated in the fall of 2019 (one loss at Festival). Our team has attended two Festivals and two NITs and we are ranked number 33 in the country for U14.

I believe that I can be a great addition to a team because I am a team player and a hard worker. I also believe that I am a good asset to a team because of my academics. I am taking almost every honors class that I can and getting grades of A’s and high B’s. Some of the clubs I participate in include Humanitarian club (in which I am a class rep), Society of Women Engineers, and UNICEF. I have also volunteered for Toys For Tots for the past 3 years and plan to continue to do so.

My ideal college is not too far from home, so PA, MA, NY, DE, NJ, or VA. I also want to go either to a D1, D2, or a very competitive D3 program. I want to go to a school that offers engineering and business.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
