My’ah Abreu '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is My’ah Abreu and I started field hockey during summer 2024 practices. During these practices I fell in love with the sport, I perviously played as one of the goalies for the 2023-2024 girls lacrosse team, from the second I got into goal I knew I wanted to pursue field hockey in college. This is my first year playing field hockey and as of right now I play on the jv team for cranston high school east co-op. My goal is to improve my skills at least 1% everyday until I can be at my personal 100%. During my time playing field hockey I have learned how to learn from my mistakes, and how to take all critisim as a way to get better. I have a consistent streak of honor roll and taking honors classes, I was in the national honor society which I do have a certificate for. I take my academics just as seriously as I take sports. I know that without academics I will not be able to achieve my goals.
