After playing my first ever field hockey game in 8th grade I have had a passion for the sport ever since. And after going undefeated with my school team that same year, I realized how much I loved being on a team and learning the values it takes to be a leader. However, I feel I grew the most as a student athlete my freshman year when we lost our SPC championship in overtime to our rival school. That experience not only helped me grow as a person but lead me to re-focus my motivation and push me to be the best athlete I can be, capable of playing at the college level. Over the years playing field hockey, I have learned more from the game besides tactical things. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership. Not only have I learned this through field hockey, but throughout my whole high school career as a 3 sport athlete, playing Varsity for my Soccer and Tennis team as well! I am a very coachable athlete and take instruction well and adapt it into my play. I am also adaptable in the sense that I can easily communicate with my teammates on and off the field. As for my College career, I’m looking for a program that suites my athletic ability as well as my academic. I believe I not only have the talent it takes to play for a college team, but the work ethic, and leadership skills it takes to make and impact on your program. I am willing and capable of what it takes and am excited to see what my College career has in store for me!
