Personal Statement
My goal is to become a Sports Physical Therapist starting at the college of my choice, and ultimately completing a doctoral degree. I envision myself providing therapy services to professional athletic organizations and athletes upon completion of my degree and state certifications. I do aspire to play in the National Football League and become a professional athlete in my years beyond college.
What make me a good candidate for your team is that I have played defensive positions from the seventh grade through my junior year. I excel in the Safety and OLB positions with the second most tackles in my high school during my sophomore year and leading tackles in the beginning of my junior year. I have a high percentage stop-rate in open field tackles. I use my size and weight as a safety with my speed to cover receivers and running backs. I can read and adapt to offensive play-changes on the fly. I have been recognized by my coaches as an exemplary player for both performance and character. Opposing team coaches have often recognized my impact against their teams during post game handshakes.
I am a player who strives to be the best, yet I desire that my teammates succeed as well. I remain focused on the next play even when under significant pressure. I don’t lose sight of the play. My work ethics on the field correlates well with my work in the classroom. I have been taught by my parents to let sports compliment my education and not the other way around. I aim to remain balanced.
