Personal Statement
I've been blessed with the talent and ability to participate in two sports (football and basketball) for 11 years beginning at the youth level. For the past 2 years, I've been a part of the track team to sustain my speed, agility and endurance moving on to compete at the state level in 3 events. My passion is football. I have a strong craving to constantly be challenged on and off the field which is reflected in my game as well as my academics. In my freshman year of high school, I started on the junior varsity team at quarterback and on varsity team at defensive end. Beginning my sophomore year, my head coach gave me the opportunity to play wide receiver and safety, and that's where I found my niche. I began to grow stronger not only physically but in character, commitment and dedication. Through hours of practice, work-outs and concentration on improving my skills, my team made it to the 4A semi-finals in Alabama during the 2016-17 season.
I am dedicated to my team, and extremely committed to be the best player that I can possibly be. God has blessed me with the ability to excel athletically. I am determined to use my abilities not only for the betterment of my team, but also to show others that if you work hard, play hard, and never give up, you will succeed.
