Hi, my name is Thomas Chisholm. I am a senior at Chandler High School in Arizona. I have been playing football since I was 6 years old and it has always been my dream to play college football. My goal is to be able to play football and get my degree in Pharmacy. My biggest aspiration is to be able to go to college on scholorship. My mom has been a single mom to my brother and myself since we were 6 and 4 years old. My brother was really sick when he was a baby but my mom always made sure that he made it to his drs. apptments and treatments and I made it to all my practices and games. She has been a teacher for special education students for the last 12 years. She was forced resently to resign from teaching due to becoming ill. She has always provided everything my bother and I have ever needed and wanted with her teachers salary. She has been at every parent teacher conference or sporting event we participated in with a smile and lots of support even when she wasn't feeling well. I have been working hard academically and athletically so that I could go to college on scholorships to take the pressure off my mom. With everything else going on in my mom's life her mom became ill with Alzheimer's. My mom had my grandmother move in and is now taking care of her along with us. She never complains and has taught me to always do things to help others and be thankful for my family and everything we have. This means making good decisions, being kind, loving, sympathic and helpful to others. I have had a wonderful life due to my mom and now I would like to make her proud by going to college, getting my degree and becoming the adult, husband and community member that my mom taught me to be. I have always remained focused on my dreams and aspirations and I look forward to playing college football and getting my degree.
