Philip Roberts '19 Recruiting Profile

Being called the starting kicker at Barton High School football varsity team as a freshman was the highlight of my high school career. However, i feel i grew the most as a student-athlete my sophomore year when i switched schools and played for Desoto ThunderBird. That experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-forcus my own efforts on becoming a solid field goal kicker capable of playing at the college level.

I was fortunate enough to have great coaching throughout my whole high school football career and being able to be part of an amazing program for Desoto and Barton High School. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership the year without a winning football season. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically and Putting all my effort on and off the field and show 100 percent. I believe i not only have the talent to complete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a all around athletic, i know that i have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
