Mychal Golden '20 Recruiting Profile

      I plan on attending college and furthering my education in the areas focusing on math and law. The application of these two areas are very exciting to me.   In the future , this knowledge  will be utilized to assist others and  making my country  continue to be the best in the world.   The  three personal qualities that best describe me are integrity, perseverance, and self control.  I know football games are not won on Saturday.  Instead ,they are won through physical and mental preparation on Sunday through Friday. If you want a quality football  player on your team, then contact me. However, if you want an elite level student-athalete to represent your program on and off the field , then you NEED me.

     As a student athlete, I understand the need to be coachable.  This is a point of emphasis taught at my home. Therefore, it will not be a foreign concept for me.  I am one of three children. This fact has engrained the team concept into my overall morals. I understand that when it is my turn to perform, then my full concentration will produce successful results.  This is true for me both on and off the football field.  Finally, as a kicker, I understand ,and am training accordingly, that my performance will directly impact the scoreboard.  With this in mind, my training philosophy has been forget about the last kick (no matter if it is a make or a miss ) and apply full mental and physical  effort to the next kick. You never know which point is going to secure the victory for the team!
