Personal Statement
My name is Tyler Barley. I'm a 6' tall 270 pound defensive lineman who believes in practicing hard and playing the game even harder. I've been playing football since pee-wee games and have been with my current team members since the fourth grade. I lead these guys each week in our workouts as well as lead them on the field in tackles. This same work ethic drives me in my academics as well. I have already taken the ACT twice, and I'm enrolled to take it again in December. I will be taking the Kaplan classes to increase my scores in math to increase the possibilities for college entrance and scholarships.
I would love to attend College or University right here in Arkansas since this is where my family lives and of course, they want to be able to cheer the team on where I play, so staying close to home would be more convenient for them. I am, however, open to consider other states as the most important factors are being able to play football and attending a school where I can focus on my field of study, psychology,
I firmly believe that I will be a strong asset to any team due to the fact that I am a hard worker and a strong motivator. I practice hard, play harder and I believe in giving the team, my coaches and my teachers my very best. If this is the type of team player you are looking for, I am the team player for you.
