Kade Hess '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kade Hess. I have been on a long road to find the right college for me to show my talents to, however I am still searching. Coming out of high school I had a 3.5+ GPA and many academic and athletic accolades, but due to whatever reason, I had no true scholarship offers. From there, I decided to walk on at Fresno State, and I made the team. I redshirted there as a freshman cornerback, and played right up against players like Derek Carr, Davantae Adams, Isaiah Burse, and more. I actually went one on one with those players every day at practice, holding my own. I even broke up a pass to end the freshman scrimmage, winning it for my team. After my redshirt season I decided to take the Junior College route, because 1. I believe I am a safety. That is where I am best on the field, and was refused to let me even show what I could do at the position, despite bringing me in as a Safety. 2. I wanted to make an impact now, and being a walk on corner, the coaching staff and I were not on the same page. I did not feel comfortable sitting back at practice and watching during drills instead of participating in them. I did not see how that was helping me become a better football player, especially when I know what I can bring to the field. So now, I am at Fresno City College, working to move back up to the next level where I know i can compete. 

Please take a look at my high light film from high school. I am a truly great player on both sides of the ball. I bring something that many others cannot bring, my brain. I am extremely smart on the field, almost like having another coach out there.This is what I make up for what many would see as my weaknesses. However, I know what I am capable of doing and the sky is the limit for myself. 

 I am open to playing receiver, however I do love coming down and hitting from the safety position.
