Hello and thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about me. My name is Bryce Alexander Williams. In my family it was never a question about, if I was going to college, it was a question about which college would I be attending once I graduated from high school. I am fortunate that conversations about higher education were had, as it propelled me on my life’s journey. My parents and my family are my biggest supporters and no matter what, as long as I do my best and give 100% they are proud of me.
I have played team sports since I was 5. It wasn’t football, although in other countries soccer is called fútbol. I was a goalie and a defender and the one thing that I always did was supported my teammates and did what my coach ask of me at all times. I knew that it was the entire team that got a win, not just one person. You can feel like the star of the show but your whole team is what makes a win shine bright.
The exciting part of this new chapter in my life is that I am still growing physically and I know I will only get stronger, faster and although my mom hopes I’ve stopped getting taller, I will probably get taller. A lot of guys eat, drink and sleep football, I have to be honest, although this is my first year playing the game, and I see how the devotion can happen. Football has become a part of who I am and it will only get better. I never felt awkward about my size as I was always the biggest kid in my class, but now on the football field, I really feel right at home.
Why should I be a part of your football program? I have heart, not just for the game, but for people. Whether you’re my teammate, my classmate, my coach or someone in my community, I think you’re important and I value what positive things you bring to the dinner table. No pun intended, but I do enjoy eating. I also enjoy animals and that’s where my interest in Zoology stems.
I look forward to making a positive impact wherever my football career may take me on and off the field. Effective and genuine service to others no matter where that may be, is something I value and look forward to continuing in my life. Who knows, maybe I will have an educational animal center for kids in the community post college and have a non-profit that exposes young people to enriching opportunities that are seldom available.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me. I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
