Hello, my name is Gavin Ashley and I am a Sophomore Junior Varsity Defensive End, Offensive Tackle, and on the Kick-off Return team at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California. Oak Ridge High School plays Division 1 football in the Sierra Foothill League, and according to Max Preps, it is one of the toughest leagues in Northern California and the country.
I have been playing football since I was seven years old. I fell in love with the sport for its competitiveness and camaraderie between teammates and coaches. I am the 4th generation to play competitive football. Football is in the blood.
The choices I make, both on the field and off, are a reflection of my passion, integrity, and work ethic. I work at being the best that I can, mentally and physically, from football practice to the weight room, continuing to each play on the field, and while off the field in school and building relationships within my community.
My goal is to continue my football experiences and aspirations whiling attending a College/University where I can thrive in academics and athletics. I am looking to attend the right school that will provide a challenging and competitive environment. Since middle school, I have planned on graduating with a business management degree with an emphasis in engineering. While attaining my degree, my goal is to play college football at the highest level in my abilities.
