Since the first moment I put on the pads and helmet and stepped onto the field, I have dreamt of one day playing at the collegiate level. There is not a single thing as great as football that I have ever experienced, and I want to take my talents to the next level and am willing to do whatever it takes to do so.
Every single day, I train myself to become better on and off of the field. Among my teammates, I try to be a quiet role model, but as my school's offseason workout program has begun I've stepped into a greater leadership role. I am always working to make my team better as a unit, whether it's pushing them to finish the workout, or doing the exercise right. I have a lot to learn, as I only discovered football my sophomore year, but I am easily coached and am willing to listen to and recieve criticism and advicefrom my peers and coaches.
My collegiate goals come down to five things. I want to play football, receive the training that I need to be successful, be involved in the community, develop my talents and skills, and to improve myself.
Playing college football is my greatest dream, the one thing that drives me to do better everyday. If I achieve this dream, I would be the first member of my family to ever play a sport at the collegiate level. I want to be a teammate that others can depend on during the game, during practice, and off the field. I want to make the players around me better in any way I can, whether it’s in the classroom or in the weight room. The number one thing I want for my team is for the people on the team to be successful. I always ask my teammates, “How are your grades? Are you doing alright in your classes this year? Do you need some help with your work?” Besides improving my teammates, I also want to make myself a better student. To me, college is a tool for later success. Football is a platform for me to build upon to become a man that I can be proud of. College is a place where I can receive the training that I need in order to be successful in my professional career.
