Leonard Hawkins '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Leonard Hawkins.  I am a Senior at Moreau Catholic High School. I am a Two way player Offensive Line and DT/RT for Moreau Catholic’s Varsity football team. Recently, I was named to the MVAL first team. I have always loved football and since the first time I was on the field, I dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. I believe that playing football on at the college level is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and can be a life changing experience for me. I also want to major in journalism while in college so when I graduate from college, I can work to become a sportscaster for a major TV network.

I take my education very seriously.  I make sure that my work is turned in on time and done correctly. I also let my teachers know that even though I play football, I value my education and I don’t take it for granted. I always strive to do my best in all of my classes. What I am looking for in a college is a college with a good journalism program, but also a college with a very good football program.  I would like to attend a college that is well known not only for sports but also its academics. I want to become better as an athlete physically and mentally in college. I also want to graduate from college with honors with a degree in journalism. SAT score = 1310

I am a great candidate for your team because I am hard working, dedicated and a leader. I always take care of business on and off the field.  In terms of athletics, I always am working to improve my skills and to get stronger and faster. I always put in 110% effort and push myself and others to never give up.
