Personal Statement

My name is Lane Kast, right now I am in Advanced individual training for the United States Army. I am looking to join the Army football team as soon as I finish AIT, I will be putting in a packet to try out for the team. My goal if I were to be able to play for the Army team is to be the best Kicker/ Punter in school history. I am very hard working and near a perfectionist, I believe in practicing until it is not possible to get it wrong. I have shown and will always show good integrity and will call people out if they are doing the wrong thing to make sure my teammates don’t get themselves in trouble. I live for competition and strive to make myself the best possible and to make everyone around me strive for the same in their lives.

  • For the second time in a row at Chris Sailer Kicking camps in California, I was the punt champion for the camp and this time just missed being the overall camp champion. My Sailer Kicking national ranking after the camp moved up to #32 in the country and the 3rd highest ranking high school punter in California.   • I was invited and attended Azusa Pacific's football camp. I had the opportunity to showcase my punting and kicking skills with coaches from Azusa, Utah and TCU and hit the ball very well during camp as I continued to improve my punting hangtime and distance on my kickoffs.
