Earning a College Degree is a major priority for me. I am fully aware of the rigorous academic requirements in college. I understand what is expected of me academically and the responsibilities of being a student athlete. I've consistently maintained a 3.5 to 3.7 GPA year around and although most student athletes would be satisfied with that, I am not. I'm am always striving to get to the next level academically. I hold myself accountable for my academics and time management as every student athlete should. There should be no excuses in the classroom or on the field. I believe in having a tremendous work ethic and I welcome challenges academically and athletically.
I believe I am a good candidate for any University because of the work ethic that was instilled in me at an early age. I refuse to be outworked. I feel it is not always about the physical aspects of the game. It is about the game within yourself mentally and emotionally that will sometimes prevail over your opponent. I feel that things such as reading the extra chapter after homework, going to tutoring before practice and Saturday mornings before film, waking up 20 minutes earlier to sneak in an extra set before training, and watching the extra film on my respective opponent have enabled me to compete academically and athletically. I appreciate the opportunities that have come before me and I fully intend to continue applying myself in my academics and athletics. I will continue to lead by example take advantage of my opportunities.
