My name is Justin Holaday, I am a Senior this year at Lemoore High School and I am a right handed QB for our football team. This will be my second year on the Varsity team after not playing my sophomore year to concentrate on playing basketball and as a Junior was awarded all-league honors. Although I was only a Junior and had taken a year off, I was chosen as a team captain and I am very proud of that honor. I strongly believe I earned that due to my strong work ethic and the desire to get better every day. Focus, hard work and dedication define everything I do in life and I work very hard to set a good example on and off the field.
As a student, I currently have a 3.63 GPA and just recently scored a 1140 on my SAT’s. I am retaking the SAT again and my goal is to score 1250 or higher. I am also a member of CSF and the chess club. I am enrolled in a Careers in Educations program at my high school and plan to pursue a degree in Education and complete my single subject credential in Social Science to become a High School History teacher. I have always taken as much pride in my schoolwork as my athletic achievements. My goal is to play college football and pursue a degree in Education.
I am interested in a College that will be a good fit for me athletically just as well as academically. I believe not only having the talent to compete for a college team is important, but working just as hard in the classroom is what it really takes to become a student-athlete. As a three-sport athlete and a looked upon captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read my personal statement
