My name is Marcos Nottingham and I've been through adversity since a young age, I know what success looks like and a couple of mistakes can't stop you from anything. My goal since a kid was to help my family out in any way possible no matter the cost and later in life the only way I could help out is by going to school getting an education using all the resources the school gives to help my family out and to show my family I can make it. Getting into a college is the main goal I have and majoring in Mechanical Engineering, everybody in my life has my back and is counting on me to achieve it. Freshman year I didn't know I was going to play Football, for anything my friends got me into Football. Freshman year Football tryouts came and me and my friends went to try out and just being there made me nervous with the new faces and coaches. My adrenaline was pumping like crazy with the running we were doing, but i just kept pushing and at the end of the tryout a coach pulled aside and asked what my name was and I told him and he gave me a pat on the back and said "you look like you can help us out what position do you play" and I looked at the coach and said "coach I don't know how to play football" and at the moment the coach said said "we can help with that just make sure to run like you do no matter what", and that's when I said I could play football. Ever since Freshman year I've conditioned myself so that when game day comes its a mental game and I won't be gassed out and just go 110% just like in weight room, gassers, mental toughness you name it. I am person who will not quit on anything will never quit. My dad, coaches, and life have taught me quitters don't get no where and that's not where I wanna be. I am a good candidate because I have good leadership, I am very social and i'm ready to compete in a collegiate level
