Personal Statement
Since my first football season at the age 6, I have enjoyed the sport tremendously. What I like most about football, is the brotherhood and strong relationships that the sport inspires. My goal is to use my ability to play football as a path to a good college and an opportunity to develop my football skills further.
I am a hard worker both in the classroom and on the field and contributing to the betterment of the team is always my top priority. I attend Windward High School one of the most academically rigorous high schools in Los Angeles where I currently have a 3.0 GPA. English and Math are my favorite classes and next year, I will begin taking AP courses.
Contributing to the community is also something that is very important to me and when I was 5, I stopped receiving Christmas and birthday presents. Since that time instead of gifts, I have asked people to make donations to the foundation my family started to help educate disadvantaged children www.imanibaraka.org. I have completed 5 international missionary trips to date and I intend to use football as a platform to improve the community.
