Colby Kerns '13 Recruiting Profile

I am an All-CIF Southern Section 6' 2", 290 pound lineman from Paso Robles, California. As a freshmen I started both ways all year at left tackle and nose guard and also played a little fullback and even scored a few touchdowns on Junior Varsity. I also received best OL/DL that year. As a freshmen, I was named captain and was a leader on and off the field. I started all 13 games at left tackle as a Sophomore on Varsity and made it all the way to the semi-finals in CIF. As a Junior, I was a team captain and started at left tackle. In the middle of the season I moved to center because our center was not performing. In my teams offensive scheme the center is the key to making our offense run. Even with having to learn a whole new position I was still able to perform highly and made PAC-7 First Team All-League. This year, my senior season, I am once again team captain and starting at center and nose guard. As well as leading on the football field I take pride in leading in the classroom. My overall GPA is 3.95/4.0. My goals are to get a college education and to play college football. I don't really have a preference where I want to go geographically, but I do want a school with an outstanding Academic program as well as an outstanding Athletic program. I want to be able to play at the highest level of competition possible and to make an impact on a team by being a leader on and off the field. I hope to go where I can eventually play a significant role on the team and become a starter. I will consider all schools.
