Growing up, sports were an outlet for me to exercise and unwind outside the classroom. The more I played football, though, the deeper my passion for the sport became, and I discovered that the effort I put into finding my potential on the field translated into greater success in the classroom.
From football I have learned how to lead by example, and by consistently putting the interests of the team above my own, I have earned my teammates’ respect and fostered a high level of camaraderie and tightly knit team unity. I take pride in being a highly coachable player and an athlete who is a sponge for information from my coaches, as well as being a versatile player who is able to overcome any situation I am thrown into. My experiences in football have helped me hone my time management skills, become adept at overcoming challenges, and helped me visualize the bigger picture instead of getting mired in tiny details. While I intend to play football in college with hopes of a career in the NFL, the most important priority for me is attending a school with a rigorous academic program in my chosen major, one that will prepare me for a successful career in a field that I love.
